Default French or Japanese?

The French holster for the model 1892 Lebel revolver looks much like this. This same type design with different dimensions were also used by the japanese for their pistols. I've been looking for a French holster for a long time without success.

Default Re: French or Japanese?

Military Holsters of World War II by Bender shows this holster on page 129. It is Japanese, made for the Type 26 (1893) 9mm revolver.
