Default Grip marking on a DWM Commercial

I purchased a D.W.M Commercial gun awhile back chambered in .30 Luger. Its a dream to shoot and its been real good to me so far. There happens to be a strange marking on the grip "39 CP", does anybody have an idea what this could mean?

Never seen one like that. Could be initials and the date? Could be a company initials and number?

Could be anything?

Will be interesting if others have seen one like it.

I purchased it online, the seller said it might be a Russian or Finnish police mark. Another thing I noticed is the magazine has no serial number but has a number 1 on the bottom. I believe it to be a Schmeisser magazine but I'm not positive. I'll put up a picture of it later.
T'would be nice to know what the marking means, nevertheless I'm just as much in love with this gun as the day I got her.

It is not a German police marking that I recognize.
