Default Wraffle wrap

Ron says he has received the pistol.

Between now and Friday I will be mailing off a check to the Salvation Army and another to an animal rescue fund.

I have a certain dislike for the SPCA or the Humane Society but there are many other good animal rescue orgnizations out there. (Some of them were organized because of objections similar to mine where the SPCA and Humane Society are concerned.) I'll be looking a few up on the internet.

Any suggestions?

We haven't heard from Ron, he must be busy gloating.

Noel,

No gloating. Actually feel a bit guilty for some reason. Probably my Dad's teachings haunting me. "Nothing is free. You have to earn it."

I would like to thank you for your time and trouble, and everyone else who participated.

Thanks very much!!

Ron

Thanks GT,

I wasn't going to say anything until I thought it would be okay with you.

To All, After I posted photos of my "Frankenshooter" .30 Luger the other day.

GT e-mailed me and told me that he wanted to give me a Christmas present. He told me to send him the Mec-Gar stainless mag out of it. He said that he would replace the base with a nice GT made wooden one. And put in a GT special spring and follower.

You can't beat that for having friends you have never met face to face. The Luger forums, the P.38, PP/PPK forum. Are made up of some pretty damned good people. And I am very proud to be associated with the high caliber people that are here to share a common interest. The few I have had the pleasure to meet have been no different in person.

(Specially when you get free stuff...)

~ Very Sincerely ~ RS

Noel,

GT's a great guy. He, Jerry, and Ron Wood were the first members to welcome me to the forum, back when I was a teenager.

GT was the first to send me an e-mail, just to shoot the bull about Lugers and Harley's.

Ron

I have an e-mail saying Lugerdoc has replied to this thread, but I can find no such reply. What gives?
