AE Luger?
Just picked this one up and it needs some help....all I know is that it's an American Eagle. Its missing the sideplate and parts that are numbered match..the bore is "shot"...its "done"...worn, pitted and a small bulge as well. Serial # is in 32k range and marked "Germany".
What can you tell me about it? I'd like to get a new barrel and get it shootin again...I also need a new sideplate. Value??? Thanks for any info.. |

maybe $400-$500 max, as parts for a 1906 can be harder to find than a 1908.
I think sideplates are interchangeble (within reason), but can not swear that. You need t figure out what parts you need and then put a wanted to buy here on the forum. Ed

Jeremy,
Welcome to the Lugerforum. Please always upload and post your photos here. Many corporations block access to places like photobucket for security related reasons (example of one of your photos http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f...1/home001a.jpg) and that means that many users behind one of those firewalls can't see your photos. Sometimes those services also change their URL locations and then nobody can see your photos, ... I can't seem them at all from where I currently am. So if it is not too much trouble, please re-post your photos in this thread. Thanks.

Jeremy, Since your luger is a short frame M1906, the standard PO8 barrels will interchange, giving you a wide choice of either 7.65 or 9mm in lengths from 3&5/8" to 16+ inches. I have most of the alternative in stock from $50 up plus $100 for instalation + return S&H. hellerarms@webtv.net

Just shot it today and it's toast... bullets were sideways at 7 yds!
So I need a barrel and a sideplate and a refinish...and maybe some grip work.... |
