My New Swiss Luger

I have a new to me Swiss Luger in 7.65. the serial number is SN 7710. Trying to figure out what the actual model is. from what i can tell it is a 1900/06 but the serial number is throwing me off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've attached pictures but if more info is needed let me know.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on acquiring a fine example of a Swiss Luger.

You have a P'00/06 put together from a DWM parts kit by W+F, located in Bern, in 1908. The Swiss ordered 1500 parts kits in 1907 from DWM. They were to be serial numbers 7501 ~ 9000 and acceptance began in November, 1907.

The first 500 P'00/06 pistols from DWM were ordered as completed pistols in 1906 and began with serial number 5001. Your serial number is correct for the model.

where did you cross paths with that nice piece...? those just don't show-up around my usual trails down in Texas...........!!!

Thanks, it was a package deal with a "FEW" other guns, probably one of the nicer in the group and definitely the conversation piece.
