Thumbs up Thor's Luger Clinic (TLSS)

I realize that this is beginning to sound repetitive, but I have just finished slobbering all over the 1906 AE Ted Green restored for me, and I have to publicly sing his praises once again.

There is only one word that I can think of to describe this Luger now: ELEGANT. Ted, you're a genius!!! (Can you post some pixs?)

I strongly recommend that anybody reading this post who is halfway considering a Luger (or other firearm) restoration should send it to Ted as soon as possible. For once his fantastic talents are better known (and I'm doing what I can to increase that likelihood), we may find ourselves waiting in line for his services.

Many, many thanks Ted! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" />

Good picture Ted....But as good as it is, it doesn't do justice to your recently discovered bluing technique..A really regal blue that is almost hard to describe. When compared to your earlier restoration of my '13 Erfurt (which was pretty damned extraordinary), there is a deeper "luster" to it.

You guy's that get Thor to restore your Lugers make me so jealous! My DWM is so pitted that Thor would probably box it, and ship it back. The Mauser is so mismatched he'd maybe x out a couple more numbers, dip it and ship it back. Absolutly beatiful pistol!

Thumbs up

Stevie, Thor did a real nasty looking one for me a couple of years ago. He called it my "Ugly Duckling". After he finished it was known as "The Swan". Hugh Clark made a set of Coco Bolo Grips for it and GT made a magazine bottom out of the same material. It now gets raves at the range! I certainly would give Thor a shot (pun intended) at it!!

I always look at Thors redo pictures with awe. I'm afraid my old DWM would lose it eagle's with one more polish, the last one looks like a beadblast job, it would also need a new ejector. Really my Mauser is in good shape with a fair refinish,(Thor could make it glow)the perfect shooter, mechanicly it's like new. After I get done with my home remodeling I'm going to have a Colt 1917 redone. How about it Thor, do you do big old revolvers? It ain't is cool as a Luger.
