Holster find.

Since Pete's going to be stingy, and not share his Heiser holster with me.

I had to go to plan B. Something you don't see everyday. A 6" Bianchi Luger holster. I haven't seen one of these since the early 80s. Got this on ebay, a couple of months ago. It's not a Heiser, but it ain't bad.

Nice looking luger ! Great shape for over 20 years...also enjoy seeing your Navy shooter. Having both a 6" and an 8" shooter, I find my short-barreled lugers are just not as much fun, anymore !

Pete, I've got to agree. If I had to get rid of all of my Lugers. The 1937 S/42 Navy is the one I would keep. The Artilleries with a stock attached are really a kick too.

That Navy appears to have marks in unusual places...what is the story on the pistol?

Richie, Thanks! I found it in a box of jack handles at the Salvation Army Store.

Tom, It's a made up Navy. It's an early 1937 S/42 with a cut down Artillery barrel.And a navy rear toggle link. They even sleeved the ajustable front sight back on. Nothin' special. Just a neat shooter. Bought it from the "the gunman". Who is gloating in the post previous to yours.

Still one hell of a gteat looking gun. If an artillery RIG had not come up I would have held on to it. All I need now is a 1914 erfurt art. Have 15 ,16 17,18, need that 14. Take care Ron best regards Richie . Im stuck in holland till the 30th> nothing to find here in our line.

Richie, hit the Amsterdam flea market on Saturday mornings. I can't believe all the great German stuff I passed up so many years ago. I'm still waiting on your evil twin in NH to return the mags.

Well, I hit all the flea markets, rommel markts, etc., while over in europe 4 years ago and found one whole holster!

It seems that most items like that just aren't around anymore. Never went to the one in Amsterdam, but I've been to the Liege market, Aachen, Masstricht, and many others and never anything! Well, not much.... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />

But Richie, der nederland is a great place. Lots of great musuems, but it depends on where you are. Some of the best are the small local ones near Bastonge, Belgium. There is a huge tank battle field musuem in Overloon, NL that I loved to visit, tanks and such from the local battle, and a nice museum in the middle!

Gentleman thanks for all the great information. Ed have been last year to the one in overloon nl
that was really great. was staying in Mook where
market garden took place. Walking in the woods you can still pick up old ordence on the ground.
Quite unbeleiveable.Tried some of the flea markets then. Not so much as a german button did I find. Many collectors here all the goodies seem to never appear. Scopped up and hidden away.
