Default 3D Luger P08 Free Download !

Hi,

I've just finished the 3d model of the P08 based on original blueprints. I've modeled every single detail.

You can download the e-drawing file for free at these links (it's a splitted archive for upload limits)

Part1: http://www.box.net/shared/l8dzec6skc
Part2: http://www.box.net/shared/c7iz9xe4oo

Unzip and launch the file. E-drawings allows you to navigate in 3d every components, hide or make them transparent etc., as you can see in the attached pictures.

Hope you enjoy it.

For any request (files, questions etc.) send me a PM.

Greets.

Here's also an exploded version:

This file isn't in the executable format. For those of you who have alredy downloaded the previous version, open it and then from the FILE menu select OPEN and chose this version.
For the others, download the previous version and do as above or, if you prefere, install the E-drawing viewer. You find it here: http://www.edrawingsviewer.com/pages...oad/index.html

Have fun...

Does anyone out there have copies of the blueprints for the barrel and rear sights for either a Navy Luger or an Artillery Luger? If you do, I am sure that these e-drawings could be updated to reflect both of those models as well!

I would also be interested in having these blueprints for additions to the Luger Blueprint CD.

Alf,

You also have to download the "viewer"

Hi,

I've received many complaints about the heaviness of the files. They require a good graphic board.

Anyway I've made a lighter version for slower Pc's by removing the checkering of the grips, nice to see but unuseful.

Here are the new links:

http://www.box.net/shared/y6sli434sg
http://www.box.net/shared/p8ta9dgws0

To see both you need the E-drawing viewer that you can find here: http://www.edrawingsviewer.com/pages...ad/index.html.

Please help me correct any error I could have made. In fact the drawings on wich these models are based are wonderful but in some details they lack informations.

Thanks

Roy,

Very nicely done!

I have two questions: First, roughly how long did it take you to create these drawings, from start to finish? Second, were the blueprints you used John Sabato's?

Thanks not only for the great drawings, but also for exposing us to edrawings!

Dave in TN.

Thank you.

Well, it took me about one month and a half but working only in the evening. But I must say that I have a quite long experience in 3d CAD software and mechanical design.

Yes, the drawings were John Sabato's. A must have in my opinion. I didn't find any other source. Don't get me wrong about the lacking of informations I mentioned.
They're minimal and a sure effect of the way they used to draft.

Regards..

I have been telling you guys for years that the CD was a good investment for your Luger libraries... Roybossit's use of the blueprint images just brought the 1913 blueprint images to life in the 21st Century...

See the For Sale Forum if anyone wants a copy of the original drawings CD... They are a study of the Luger that anyone with appreciation of the engineering of the P.08 can enjoy...

John,

There's another benefit to the drawings that I didn't realize. Roy has validated your blueprints! He has provided us with proof positive that all the parts would fit if manufactured to design specifications.

His experience in CAD is quite evident! I'm very impressed.

Dave in TN.

PS: I'll be viewing your blueprints again with renewed appreciation.
