Hi Dwight
Out of a thousand tables how many had guns on them? I am betting less than 200! Lots of jerkey and that kind of crap? <img border="0" alt="[crying]" title="" src="graemlins/crying.gif" /> It used to be a fairly good show. Sorry you did not find anything. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[cherrsagai]" title="" src="graemlins/drink.gif" /> Russ

While not a Luger in a technical sense, there was one .380 Erma. It was not stamped metal as the .22's are. How are they to shoot. It really looked like a miniature Luger. $225.00. Worth that price or not?
I came home with a like new Astra A-90 in .45ACP. I have been wanting a .45 and was looking at the 1911 clones but found this instead. It feels good in my hand and has a great trigger. |

In recent years I have mostly given up on the Portland show. Over the years I have seen less firearms and more non gun items at the shows. When I do find a nice gun at the show I find the prices to be higher than at other out of state shows.
On the other hand I find that the Reno show has gotten better and better each year. I don't mind the extra cost of flying over for the show as I always come back with something nice at a fair price. This time I came back with two Lugers, one shooter and one as a collector. Also at the Reno show I can stop by and talk with Ralph Shattuck anytime I have a Luger question. In my opinion that alone is worth the price of admission. |
