Marking on 36 S/42
Hello Gents !
I have a 1936 S/42 , all matched but clip . At some time a #1 was (footed #) was added before & after the sn on the upper receiver , and after the sn on the side plate and the takedown lever .Appears to be crudely done . Any ideas as to when & or why this was done ? Would this detract from the value or collectability ? Thanks in advance for any help ! Shawn Grear |
