There is a company in Texas making stainless steel Lugers. They are

Orimar Firearms Manufacturing (OFM Corp)
915 Boundary Street
Houston, Tx 77009-7819
(713)236-1029 (713)937-9155

There are pictures in our gallery of them...

Hi Kojote...

If you are accessing the site from http://www.lugerforum.com - you'll see a link in the menu called "Member Gallery".. That link will take you here: http://gallery.rennlist.com/lugergallery/

When that opens - enter "stainless" into the search box - and you'll find all the photo galleries that have Stainless Lugers that Johnny refers to...

Hope this help!

Does the company making them have a website I could look at? I was going to get a sprinfield GI 1911 but if one of these is around the same price no competition.

Neither the SA GI 1911 or the Stainless Luger are authentic military issue, of course, but either one would be lots of fun to have. For the price of the stainless Luger, which was around $850 the last time I looked, you could have either a real WWII 1911A1 or a real Luger, and I mean very nice ones, although probably showing some finish wear and not being the most collectable examples. If you don't already, start going to gun shows and look around before jumping on a 'clone'.

Sorry, there is no website for the stainless steel Luger, although we have alot here, even a price list from the company, pictures of the guns, and an article worth reading...

Well, I just wanted to get a clone so I could shoot the holy living hell out of it and not feel bad.

Hi Jason,

You could chase down one of the lugers made in Germany in the 1970-early 1980's by Mauser.

These run NIB for $ 900-1100 or so, but a lot less if not NIB...

I have put over 600 rounds through mine and they are stout and made for shooting...

They came in 4" and 6" barrels and in both .30 cal. and 9 mm cal. There were also some expensive commemorative models that are much more pricey...including LP-08's, Navy, Bulgarian, etc.

Here are some links with photos :

p.s.

Here is a link to one of the S/S lugers with photos that you asked about in your opening post :

Regards,

Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />
