1915 luger 4inch artillery ??
I have a 1915 4 inch luger with an artillery rear sight on it. has anyone ever seen one like this ?? I have seen long barrel artilleries , never a short barrel.......

Is the rear sight on the barrel itself or on the toggle train?
If on the barrel itself, then this sounds like a gunsmith special. Perhaps the muzzle area of the original barrel was damaged and the barrel had to be cut down. The sight radius can't be more than 2" if this is the case. If the rear sight is on the toggle train, then it is a Naval toggle train on a 4" barreled gun. Photos would help greatly in determining what you have. |

We need pictures of your Luger, showing ALL text and graphical markings...Proof marks, the complete serial, top of chamber, toggle, barrel, front sight, rear sight, whether it has a sear safety, how the front sight is mounted, etc...
