Possibly the seller knows the actual gun is out there, somewhere, in the USA market...???

I believe this mag has been offered on the site for at least a year if not longer, which would suggest it is overpriced.

Question, How would it be marked to show that it is a Krieghoff magazine? Doug

Doug, that would be a Eagle over "2" stamp on the mag base. A quick search on the topic should provide some examples.

Gibson on page 115 of his book had seems to indicate some of the commercial HK's guns would not have the traditional military inspection markings. Maybe this was/is true for the magazines in these guns.

John D. would know for sure...

I first noticed this mag when it was only $1000. I guess that inflation in prices occurs even it you can't sell an article.

P-Code mags do not have Luftwaffe Eagle 2 proofs generally.

I am guessing that the price can be attributed to two words, "Krieghoff" and "Simpson"...both high dollar, and in combination very high dollar.
