Default HK Hold open?

Seems to me I've read it somewhere, but can''t find it now. Did Krieghoff inspection stamp the HO but not number it to the gun?

According to Gibson the hold open has the inspection mark and very rarely the serial number. I have a 1937 Krieg with a numbered hold open so they do exist. Bill
