Police Guns
Could someone advise me as to what model guns were carried by the gestapo, criminal police, order police and sd. did any of these forces carry concealed lugers.

Biff,
Plain clothes officers carried Mauser 1914s, Ortgies, HScs, PPs and PPKs. Small easily concealed pistols. I wouldn't doubt that in some instance a Luger may have been carried, but not commonly. Sauer Behordens and 1930s were developed for the police and were very popular. Ron

As mentioned, the Luger might have been carried, but it was really too big and heavy to carry under street clothes. The Luger holster is designed to be worn on the outside of the clothing and held up by a wide, strong belt.
Uniformed police carried Lugers, whereas criminal investigative officers liked carring the smaller automatics. Much more comfortable. Joe
