Default Der Reichstag

Here's an interesting one, Der Reichstag, ca late '44 or sometime in '45. The story is that the picture's owner's father took it in Berlin during a covert foray across enemy lines. Not 100% sure I buy the story, but it *is* a neat picture...

This is my favorite picture of the Reichstag.

She's not Russian, she's a Czech nurse.

Like I say, I don't necessarily buy the story, but the story is that he took it upon himself to go behind enemy lines as he spoke fluent German. Seems to me that the "took it upon himself" part would result in a court martial when he got back! The guy did take a pile of very interesting photographs however/whenever he did it.
