Default WOL Trip-2003-Spring vs Fall

My guess is, am much as they enjoy, AND look forward to the visit, and it will continue to grow and take more planning, I think, just my gut instinct that once a year is enough load on them. I think if it were 20 yrs ago, it might be different. The spring event was chosen for one thing in the lull of gun shows which Ralph really attends. I WOULD not be adverse to moving it to October if it worked for them. I do know that, for me, my daughters birthday is October 9th so if it happened that late I would have to miss it anywa! Of course, we must respect the Shattuck's wishes as they have been so gracious (as has GT and Carol) to do this for us. Thor

I'm happy with the "once-a-year-in the spring" system.

I think twice a year would be too much for them also.

And yes, I would like to go again sooner!

Of course, maybe I'll visit Phoenix and just drive around the block wishing!

Default I Think !!!.......... :)

The Luger forum has come a long way in the last two years, and I agree with Ted, It's most likely, just going to get better and better......But, In the S.W., we are one hell of a long ways from many, and quite probably most, of the forum members! I propose that our eastern members have a gathering or get together in the fall at the place of there choosing, and the spring event could remain as the trip to mecca! I for one plan on visiting as many of the new friends and fellow collectors as the good lord will permit...most likely in the N.W. first! (here that bill?)....I can envision, as things progress, a definite cross interaction between events....It is food for thought! With as much fun as this has been, and with the cooperation of the members as it has evolved so far....I see nothing but good times ahead, coast to coast.....till...later...G.T.

I think that a once a year show is enough too. I also would like to see a show in the midwest or eastern part of the country. But does it have to be in the fall? That is hunting season, the weather is less predictable and there are a lot more gun shows at that time. But Ralphs show still should remain the main show. Nobody could ever top him. Just my 2 cents worth.

Just messing with you Steve. The best time would be any time you get to see Ralph and his collection.

Sid.
