Default 7.65 police

I don't see much in print about the 7.65 cross out, nothing in Walthers Luger or Still's books, I'm looking for a minty one, with at least one match mag, full rig better. As I understand it all have sear safety, any info out there please let me know, also looking for a Simpson and again with a sear safety...I collect police only as you can tell, thanks

There is a man in Mesa Arizona named Jack McCarl, who is one of the nations's foremost leading collectors of police Lugers. Last I saw him he was disposing of his collection to go into another field. He might have something you are looking for, or at least he can certainly give you a lot of information. His phone number is 480-854-2516, and he can be contacted by e-mail at N2QQ@aol.com

Hope this helps,

Aaron

Jack is out of the Luger collection field and has sold all of his Lugers. He bought quite a few from me and borrowed quite a few from me for his displays. He actually was more of a Nazi pistol collector than a Luger collector.

Bill,

What prompted Jack to do this? He took first place at the KC show two years ago...just got tired of it?

Hi Tom,

I think Jack became very discussed with all the refinished Lugers being passed off as originals. Lugers were really not his main collecting field. He was taken a few times and decided to get into a different hobby, collecting and shooting machineguns. He has a Thompson, MP 40, and MP 22, is in a shooting club, and enjoys shooting them each week.
