Default Luger Holster Repair

Is there anyone on the forum who can recommend a person or business that can do a period correct repair on a WWII P-08 holster?
Thanks.

Peter,

Jerry repaired the pullout strap on my 1940 transitional.

Indistinguishable from the factory original. FWIW.

Peter, Photo's are not really necessary. I do a couple of these a week. $40 plus return shipping.
Jerry

John, Thanks! Glad you are happy...

So Jerry, since we have you on stage, how did you ever get into Luger holster repair? Do you have upholstery or saddlery repair background, a patient mentor?

David, The only guy in North America doing what I do now was Frank DeMauro out of New York I think. He was famous as the go to guy for Luger Holster Repair..I even had him do some work for me at one time.
He died about 16 years ago. At the time I was making leather Luger lanyards..No one else really took on holster repair and there was as much demand for it then as there is now. A very good Friend, now gone, was Tom Armstrong. He called and wanted to know if I would take on a couple of holster jobs he had as he knew of my leather lanyard work. I told him I would get back to him in a week. I researched what kind of thread was needed..linen of course and where to get it. Took a Luger holster completely apart and sewed it back together again. Called Tom back and said sure..send em and I will see what I can do. 15 years later I am still at it..I have to say I might be a little better at it than when I first started..
I want to thank any and all who read this that have been past clients. I have appreciated your trust and confidence all these years. I have also met some of the finest people I could hope to meet. All in all it has been a great run so far..I blame it all on Tom Armstrong! God rest his soul..a fellow 173rd Sky Soldier, like many of his comrades, he tragically died too young.
