Fred

I am sure you will get several replies.

I believe the gun has been refinished, this would lower it's collector value. The safety marking (GESICHERT) should be in the white and there are several small pits that should not have blue inside of them.

Who ever did the work did a very nice job of it! It is a nice looking gun.

The grips are unusual and I think they would sale quickly if you post them on this forum.

Nice gun, thanks for posting

Fred, I'm sure the Luger has been "worked on". Notice the side plate isn't numbered!!

While I'm not a big fan of enhanced grips, these are not bad for gaudy grips.

I do believe the top plum color of the "cannon" is original finish. Mine is that color and I have read that the 1932/42 did have that distingushing feature.

Discard? I do not know how much this gun would sell for but I suspect $800 is not out of the question, possibly more. That seems like a lot to throw into the trash.
