Exactly!
I am of the opinion that any captured guns are cool! I understand the true collector and would like a couple of collector grade guns, but the actual guns that they carried, the history behind them is very compelling to me! When you walked into some gun shops in 1950, there were probably so many Lugers to choose from that slapping some chrome on didn't seem so horrible. Ed |

If a comparison could be drawn to Viet Nam, I would imagine that carrying of captured weapons was commonplace in WWII, also. I don't think soldiers changed that much between the two conflicts. A co-worker of mine was a sniper attached to an artillery unit in Viet Nam, and he says it was very common for GIs to use captured AKs.
