The most precious item for a Luger collector is an understanding and tolerent wife. If you have one, tell her how much she is appreciated.

Default 12 Steps for you

OK, lets be pratical here, you are additcted.


1. Read all you can on Lugers

2. Go to gun shows, look at all guns, specifically Lugers

3. Go to gun shops, look for guns

4. Go to pawn shops, look for guns

5. Put an ad in the paper

6. Read some more

7. Buy a Luger for too much

8. Buy a present for the wife, just in case she finds out

9. Buy a 1911A1 to match the Luger, buy flowers on the way home, just in case

10. Buy another Luger or WW2 gun, buy diamonds, just in case

11. Buy another present for the wife (not a P38

12. Read the forum daily, you are hooked and it will take a while to get over it. 20-75 years is normal.

Ron,


You really hit the nail on the head in having an understanding wife! They may not understand what drives us to collect, but they put up with us. The one way to keep them this way is to buy them a nice surprise gift when you get a new firearm, this way they are happy too.
