Yes, after having been over here for the last year and literally right now so close to the 'Persian' border, I have a desire for one of these, 4 or 8 inch.

Roadkill, I hadn't heard from you in so long, I was unsure if you still were around

Your wife still making great food and bread

Glad to hear from you! With your lovely Wife still baking that wonderful bread how do you keep your figure! I can still remember the loaf you sent me a few years back!

Wow...*All* the numbers are in Farsi...

Question: Why the two dimples for the safety??? Is that a common artillery characteristic??? Or just Persian artilleries??? (Or neither)???

Thanks, Otto! Looking at RIAC auction #3488, I see the upper position on that Persian artillery has one dimple + a Farsi character...

Is this maybe because there was no Farsi words for "Safe" and "Fire"??? So they used a symbol + a red dot???

I think that means "safe" in farsi.

Just asking from a information gathering perspective. I am assuming these are Mauser Lugers, were they salt blued or rust blued. The first pictures look a little red or plum like they are salt blued? Just curious and learning. Thanks! Really cool Lugers! I am seeing strawed small parts some fire blued pins.

Hi,

All my LP 08 have the same finish.
I think they are rust blued, the old way.

RoadKill,

Nice and interesting pistol. The serial # appears to be 1312 or 1313. (hard to tell for sure) but all small parts are stamped 33. Is this a non-matching gun??
