You are so right Mike, and I will have exact figures in a day or so, but it appears that even after shipping that we raised about $2200 for the orphanage! I will send John all pertinant information for his records, paypal and send him a consolidated check for the rest.

Steinar, I have PM'd and emailed him, I do know that he was out of town for the next 3 or 4 days. So, he will be back and then contact you.

I officially Paypal'd $1200 to Project Rennwish and will send another $1000 to John for the Wish today.

total sent today $2200

He will receive a bit more, after I finish shipping, receiving checks, etc.

Yes Gentlemen! A grand Thank you to all of you who participated. As others have said, a good result was achieved. I know that this money will be put to good use where it is needed desperately. I trust John & Jen to use it effectively.
Words are not adequate to express my thanks this is the only time I have ever used a "smilie" and likely to be the last so enjoy!

My Navy items are on their way to Hugh Clark this morning.

Thanks Ed for being the driving force...Jerry Burney

I think this is the only thing I have ever won, except for a wonderful wife. A big thank you to Ed and Jerry for doing this worthy event. Bill Lyon

Just a final update. This afternoon I Paypal'd Rennwish $120, and tomorrow I will send $200 from me to John (from members who had tickets), plus another $100 promised.

That brings the total from this raffle for the orphanage to...
$2620 !!!!!!

Well done my friends, well done, thanks to all the donators, both monetarily and gifts / prizes to fellow collectors.

I think all has gone very well, but if some one doesn't receive their prize in a timely manner, send me an email and I'll check into it.

Default Raffle

I found about this and waited too long before jumping on the wagon. I sent John a $50 donation so you can add to the total raised. Sorry will try to watch closer next time you guys are too well coordinated, us seniors are having a hard time keeping up.

Default Lost Interest

Thanks John.

Lost interest after the big fiasco that closed the old site down. Have tried to light a fire under my self again, am getting old and found that I probably have no one in family that will carry on the collection. There is a possibility that my oldest granddaughter may (16) like some but still must weed out most of the others in the collection. However, I find it hard to get rid of them, always fine some reason not to sell one or the other. I have decided that I am going to try and help some of the newer collectors that are expressing interest in the history of the guns rather than looking at them as an investment. I know how hard it was for me to get mine started so will see if I can find a worthy individual, I believe that I have found one in California that fits the bill, will try and find some others.

cheers:

Bob
