Default Luger on egun

There is an navy luger in auction. ( http://www.egun.de/market/item.php?id=2120838 )The seller mention in his auction that the pistol is all original, but I have my questions.
I have some pictures reworked.

Regards Leon.

Mag numbers look suspicious and mag bottom wood looks like it is brand new.

At a minimum, the barrel and receiver have been refinished, and probably the complete gun. As noted by abukafura, the magazine base is very suspicious. Looks like a restoration and should be priced as such.

The font size of the numbers on the magazine bottom is too small.

This magazine bottom is an obvious and amaturish fake. Shameful...

The mag is KA-KA. The serial numbers under the barrel don't look right, as mentioned above. The toggle knob doesn't look right either. But its hard to tell from the pictures, so I won't say anything. I'll go thru my computers desk top to see if I can find some pictures of good vs bad toggles. Ron Wood had some magnificent pictures that I believe I saved someplace.

In the meantime, look at the following pictures from GunBroker. Here is a nice navy, but the price is already up there. Forget the stock, its a repro. The mag looks right but its not matching and well worn.

Red face

Sorry gentlemen. I found the pictures but I can't figure how to get them on the forum. Maybe Ron can find them and post them. They are quite interesting and should be shown from time to time for the benefit of the new people.
