Default Pacific Arms Co. Lugers...?

When I saw Mr. Mullikin's luger collection at the Tulsa Gun Show, one luger had a round disk on the left grip that indicated the "Pacific Arms Co.".

Have run across this name (Pacific Arms Co.) in some reading once or twice...

Can anyone educate me regarding the Pacific Arms Co. and when did they trade lugers ?

Does such a marking add value to a luger ?

Thanks in advance for the history lesson !

Pete, John Walter mentions Pacific Arms Co in "The Luger Book" on page 181. In a nutshell he says that very little is known about this company. They were out of San Fancisco and their catalogues containing illustrations of the P-08 were dated 1922-24. He describes the pistol grip the way you do. IMO, the only thing it could do is increase the value of the weapon - it's an interesting piece of history.

Hope this helps, Joe

I feel that a luger marked with the Pacific Arms disc, is in the same class as a Stoeger side marked luger from the same time period, but MUCH harder to find. As with the Stoeger, beware of fakes. About 20 years ago, I purchase their remaining stock of luger & C96 parts from a nephew of the owner of Pacific Arms. Unfortunately, no disc marked grips were included. Tom h
