Post 1896 Broomhandle

I have been offered a very nice broomhandle from a family friend whose family has had it for a long time. It is a commercial model in the 81000 range with the original wood stock. It is marked Von Lengerke/Detmold N.Y. It is in beautiful shape both the wood stock and the pistol. I would say like new condition, easily 99%. He would like $2500 for it. Is this going price for these as I know very little about them? Thanks, Curt

Log into Simpsonltd.com and check out his broom prices...this sounds like a good deal.

Hello beachbaker,

If the pistol is 'easily 99%' original condition as you describe with a (matching) stock, the price of $2,500 is very reasonable. If you do not mind, please send me an image of the rig at mailto:imperialarms@att.netimperialarms@att.net</a> and I shall gladly give you my opinion.

Cheers,
Albert
