Hi to all, Now, I want to state right off the get go, this post is not about leaving some one out, or trying to establish a competition of any kind! But, day after day, and time after time, there are certain members that seem to be as sound as any book when it come to solid Luger knowledge? Many times they have seen what many of the members never have seen, or never will see.... So, on just pure Luger history.. my top three are as follows... all equal, just have to list them somehow..
Mr. Ron Wood .... Definitely one of the Luger lore top dogs.. If he can't answer it on early Lugers, probably DWM can't either!

Mr. George Anderson... More and more his Luger wisdom comes to light, as more and more of us have him as our "Go to Guy!....

Tom Heller...... While most of us have maybe seen or read about something Luger, Tom has either owned it or sold it.... He was one of the sharpest tools in the shed 40+ years ago, and never lost a step from there!..

Not to forget our European contingent, Gerben and Patrice have always been on the cutting edge and belong in MY group respectively... Now, I know there are many more here that qualify for top spots on many members lists.. I'm just tossing out what I think.. love to hear from others on their choices... Best to all, til....lat'r.....GT

We have by far the most generous luger experts anywhere! Our site is friendly and welcoming! If they have patience with me for well over a decade anyone is welcome to our luger neighborhood! In Villanova Law School, I was taught on my first day, it was the question that was important and not the answers as there are many answers and only a few good questions! Ask Away! Eric

BTW, If I was going to mention my top guys for making Luger parts with/for me on the forum, it would be a different group entirely... Rich, Rick, Don, Olle..... all top notch in my book..... Oops! did it again didn't I?.

Gerry, if you are going to list members who are knowledgeable, then why not make it a comprehensive listing with areas of members' expertise identified? Then make it a 'sticky' with an identifiable title explaining what it is.

I don't know much about anything, and I frequently have to ask who is the 'go-to' guy for whatever it is that piques my interest at any one time. I haven't been here long enough to know who knows what.

A central listing would benefit us 'old noobies' as well as the 'new noobies'...

As a Luger hobbyist for only about two years now, I have been helped by many knowledgeable and friendly folks on this forum. If I were to attempt to list them, I would surely fail to include all of them. So I won't try. But, I will say most of their names have been mentioned already.

"Hats off" to all the regular contributors on this forum as it is accurate to say that every one has had a hand in enhancing our collective Luger hobby experience.

This is a very good idea IMO. As long as everyone agrees to be listed on it. Would be helpful to all members.

Some talented and skillful members have announced their semi-retirement from Luger fabrication. Thor, Hugh, and Tom come to mind. They're not totally out of it but they don't want to be swamped either.

It's tricky. Good friends may do each other occasional favors but not want to go into full time 'business'.

GT is Da Man when it comes to mags. He's reworked all my Luger mags (except a brand new MecGar that I just bought), and even deigned to work on my Nambu magazines! {CURTSY HERE}

Jim Solomon for grips. I'd say his checkering looks so good and regular that it had to be done by a machine except NO machine checkering ever looked as good as his. The custom grips he made for my Luger are fantastic - and he stands behind his work! {BOW HERE}

Lots of knowledgeable guys here who know far more on the subject than I ever will - but I have to give a hat tip to Ed Tinker...
