Default S Code Krieghoff Luger Serial Number 3617 -- Picture Intensive

My latest acquisition:

Large format photos can be downloaded here. I would be very grateful for any comments, especially in regard to the value lost in having an unproofed and unnumbered field replacement firing pin, and missing the original holdopen. (The proofed but unnumbered holdopen shown is my spare part contribution.)

Hi Michael, Thanks for the excellent presentation of your fine S code Krieghoff #3617. I'm not a Krieghoff specialist, but I do own a copy of Gibson. I wouldn't obsess over that unnumbered hold-open, Gibson states that although some numbered hold-opens have been reported, he personally has never seen one (pg. 105). Firing pins bore inspection marks, but were only numbered randomly.
Regards, Norm

Thank you, Norm. This one is a keeper. I've consulted Gibson's book, but note that my other HK Lugers all have marked firing pins, unlike this one. I'm also concerned with the amount I should charge for the originally missing holdopen.

If you have another proofed and un-numbered hold open, I could use it!
