Somewhere out there, a FrankenKrieghoff yearns to be born...

Michael, I think I also, last week, saw a pair of Kreighoff grips being auctioned off. Sorry, didn't keep the link, could have added it to your list. Would a Kreighoff assembled from all mis-matched Kerighoff parts be something a little special, or merely another shooter?

More special than the latter-day Krieghoffs that Simpson marks up from 3,000 Euros to $18,000.

Michael, are you saying that the new Krieghoff's can be had in europe for 3k euro's?

When they first came out, they were advertized at 15k I thought?

Also, I have a pair of krieg grips and an upper (no toggle) upstairs that an older collector wants me to sell (upper is in rough shape)

That's what I heard from several German gun people. Here is another testimonial.

not a very good testimonial
Quote:
Price for this pistol was about 3000 Euros (if memory serves well).
Google search conducted took me right to the Krieghoff site
Quote:
The Parabellum pistol is now available for delivery in the United States.
The cost is $17,545.00 U.S. Currency, FOB Krieghoff International, Ottsville PA, which includes US Federal Excise Tax. FOB Krieghoff factory in Germany. The price includes specially made aluminum pistol case machined from solid aluminum block and imprinted with the authentic Krieghoff anchor insignia; additional magazine and Certificate of Authenticity signed by Dieter Krieghoff.
Only 200 pistols will be made.
Prices are subject to change without notice.

I find the German gunmakers who quoted me the 3,000 Euro price more credible than the statement the Krieghoff website.

Sure would be nice to be able to buy one for 3000 Euros. I am all in. How can I get one?

Not to doubt German gunmakers, but 3,000 Euros is a bargain basement price. I have a little bit of a difficult time in reconciling the difference between the European price and the US price. I know we are suckers to overspend, but this goes a bit beyond reason. A documented price in Europe of 3,000 Euros would set my doubts at ease.

Sorry, I was told this in confidence. But in fact, 3,000 Euros is well at the upper end of German custom Luger jobs. I suggest making your own inquiries and watching eGun.de.

Nah, I'm not that interested. I will rely on your judgement. There is a big difference between custom Luger jobs and the profit margin required by a major arms company to produce limited production pieces.

'custom luger jobs'

How does that compare to a new made Krieghoff?

That is apples and oranges?

Can you please provide links to egun.de on Krieghoff's, not custom luger jobs?

I am not terribly impressed by branding, and as far as I can tell, the labor and materials that go into a newly made Krieghoff are comparable to those invested into a Wagner carbine, offered at € 2,310.00, including MwSt. Having imported hundreds of firearms from Germany and Switzerland on ATF Form 6, I have no reason to doubt the pricing reported to me by my German suppliers. Please note also that the latest original Krieghoff Lugerslisted on eGun.de failed to sell at € 2,999.00 and € 1,500.00. I suggest using the following link to search for its latter-day successors:
http://www.google.com/search?&q=krie...site%3Aegun.de

I meant no offense. As a favor to the forum, I will gladly refer to my suppliers in Germany any Krieghoff collector wishing to find a newly made HK.
