Default Bern Wooden Magazines...

Detail of the bottom of the wood on Bern-produced wooden magazines is a bit different than their German DWM counter parts. The round shape of the finger "knobs" holds their shape along the bottom surface...whereas the DWM bottoms tend to blend the knobs with the rest of the wooden bottom and the round shape of the knobs is lost along the bottom. Tubes tend to have a more "satin" finish, as well.

These three (3) are for M1906 W+F Bern lugers (aka '24 Bern or M1906/24 Bern). The one on the far right has 2-digits of the serial number stamped :

Pete,

Thanks much for the detail presentation on the mags. Answers a question about a mag that I used to have whose base didn't 'look' quite right. Wish now I'd kept it.

Hi Dwight...

Some folks at gun shows assume they are "repro's" and sell them as such...two of these only cost me $ 75 and $ 80 respectively. The one with the 2-numbers was more ($ 125) as the owner/seller knew it was a Bern piece...
