Krieghoff Lugers - Historic details

- In 1886, Ludwig Krieghoff founded a sporting guns factory

- Ludwig had two sons named Ludwig Jr. and Heinrich

- The "HEINRICH KRIEGHOFF WAFFENFABRIK"

- Among its military oriented projects was a semi-automatic rifle

- The H. Krieghoff company commercialized DWM Lugers

- The rear face of the frame struck "KRIEGHOFF SUHL"

- An order of 10,000 Luger pistols for the "Luftwaffe"

- Luger production means were tooled by the firm's engineers

- Only Krieghoff Lugers bear "Luftwaffe" acceptance markings

- A small quantity of Lugers sold on the commercial market

- Today the firm KRIEGHOFF is based at ULM

- It only represents a total of some 13,825 pieces

- The "G" and "S" chamber codes

- Military production figures detailed by serial ranges

Mauser - Historic details

All the content was drawn from my French hard bound book : La Connaissance du Luger written in 1996.

If you like my artwork, no doubt you will enjoy this book, as the drawings are by far more crisp when printed on a good paper. A book on Colt pistols is also available on the site.

I do no like very to speak about me as a private person. Authors offer their work and the few knowledge they have gathered. It is their way to leave an imprint of their passage on earth.

Welcome to the forum! I also own all three of your other Luger books and look fprward to purchasing this one also. Don't worry about your English. How many of us here in the US could even carry on a brief conversation in French? I am sure Luger terminology is not included in most schools that teach English. Your knowledge comes across just fine!

Gerard. Must the e-book be stored on the hard drive or can it be written to a CD? How much space does the average book take up? Looks like a good thing to have but am concerned about storage on computer and loss if Computer crashes.

I'm probably wrong again but it seems to me that there is software that will run Win98 pc software on a Mac.

Perhaps John Sabato. will comment on this brash statement . John, is there such software or not ?

Putting all four editions on a CD would be a real nice accomplishment. I believe that there are some of us here who are technically minded enough to educate us on how this can be done. I for one would appreciate the help. (Helloooo..John)!

Our Ebooks must be stored on the Hard disk as upon installation there is a process to install the password and this one is WRITTEN on the HD. This cannot be done on a CD.

The ebooks could be gathered on a CD but when transferred on the customer HD, this one would have to follow the same billing process as usual for each ebook stored. There is no advantage to get the ebooks through CD as the downloading is quicker and you get automatically the last version.


From time to time, data are added or modified.

Ho yea this machine so easy to use that I sold several years ago when I was in the business. Are there really yet on the market today ?


No, I don't think so.

But I am not sure how compatible the operating system used is with modern browser software... Like Al Gore, this sounds like a risky scheme to me... but you are only risking $5.95 if you already own the Mac simulator software. If you own a Mac and want to try this, drop me a line and we can talk about how it might be possible. Since speed is not an issue for just reading a book, it just may be possible... but I don't own a Mac to experiment with...
