On eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...EBBI%3AIT&rd=1 Is at $900 with nine hours to go and has not met it's reserve?? And missing one jag. I did realize these kits might be this expensive. Is this out of the ordinary? |

Well, it closed in excess of $1500 with 32 bids.
Awfully expensive. Is this the ordinary for a conversion kit of this type? |

The last one I saw at Simpson's was priced at $1900. They had the small box version for $1100.

The only thing he forgot to mention in his auction was the Erma reproduced these kits in the 1980's. This means 'be careful' when buying one.

perhaps this is another item that Orimar might consider producing... Imagine! a stainless steel .22 caliber conversion kit that would fit ANY 9mm Luger ---dream on!

The 1980s Erma kits are of slightly different design in a completely different box and generally sell in the $400 to $500 range. TH

I have 5 of the large box conversion units that are all matched, 3 of them the boxes are also matched to the unit, and I feel that was a very good buy for the E-bay unit, especially if it was all matching. As I recall, the unit listed in Simpson's is not matching and they are asking $1900 for it. These units (large box) have been priced anywhere from $2000 to $3000 to me over the last 3 years, so if you guys are passing them up for less than $1600 please send them my way. -- Bill

Hi GT,
I only have two of the small box units, a police (E/L) and a military, but both are matched and a part of my collection. I'll let you know if I run across any. Take care -- Bill P.S. It snowed about 8 inches last night and this morning and is cold, windy, and spring isn't here yet. |

Thanks Bill! I very much appreciate the effort! I am really interested in the box only! been looking for a nice one for years! I don't care if the kit itself, is matching or not! AND, I don't miss the snow!!! People down here in Phoenix tell me they're cold?? I reply, "No your not!" To which they reply, "What do you think is cold then??" And I tell them, "Cold is where you truly believe, you have, at the outside, fifteen more minutes to live, under the best of circumstances!!" I remember!!! Best to you Bill! And, always nice hearing from you again! til....lat'r...GT <img border="0" alt="[jumper]" title="" src="graemlins/jumper.gif" />

Hey G.T.
Maybe YOU should start producing these conversion kits? They don't look beyond your capabilities... and I don't think you would run out of demand very quickly...
