The only source info that I know of is in Costanzo's World of Lugers - Proofmarks. TH

I just stumbled onto this:

http://www.p38guns.com/HzAStamp.htm

I will have to get a copy of the book...

Anyone know if it is a WW2 era marking or if it was already in use during WW1?

The upper half (which is marked HZA) is in such pristine shape, its hard to believe the pistol needed any repairs. Unless maybe the work WAS to stick it onto another frame.

Default Nice Artillery Shooter!

Angus- you've just acquired a very nice Artillery shooter. They're a "hoot" to shoot! KW

Thanks Wilhelm!

I haven't had a chance to try it out yet. I really would like to get a stock for it, but haven't made up my mind which repro to go for...

Anyone have a recommendation?

NUMRICH & Sarco both have similar repro LP08 stocks available, but these and even an original, may require fitting to attach to your pistol. TH
