No right minded human being, luger expert or not, would pay the asking price for this poorly photographed HK. Does he think he is doing all of us a favor by allowing the three day inspection in front of his attorney (who is probably as misinformed as he is)?

If memory serves correctly he tried this same delusional gambit about 9 months ago, with the same results, hence his comments re "experts".

"This is my pistol,in my possession, and I know more about it than anyone."

John D may want to confer with him and learn a few things.

I hope it is in his possession - otherwise it would be difficult for him to deliver it to a purchaser.

I also like the last line "A 3 day inspection can take place at my attorneys office,3 days in a row,in front of him and myself,by appointment, after payment is made. "

Hey Ron, this guy might be a potential buyer for one of those bridges you have!! Brent B.

Too bad in his 35 yars of research he claims to have done on this pistol, he never seemingly managed to buy or at least read Gibson's book. There Gibson estimates 2,500 "1937"s where made.

He seems to have priced this one as if it were a "1939" HK...

Brent,

Good thought. I wonder if he wants a long one or a short one. I'm having a Fall sale.

I traded cordial emails with the seller. I asked he if might have had a typo with his opening bid and did he intend to start it at $ 5,000 vs. $ 50,000.

Seller is convinced the nice holster and 2 matching HK magazines would command such a price.

I did not want to break his reality check...

Seller added this statement to his auction ad in the past few dates; it should certainly make one feel better and more secure bidding $ 50K don't ya think ???

For 1937s - it's a nice RIG... Top value? About $5,500 if you read the Members Forum..

Maybe I should have this person - being the "expert" - resell all my HKs for me. If my 1937 is worth "$50,000" - I can retire on the price of my 1938 and some of those HKs I have with the LWaA2 proofs on shoulder holsters!!

I know I will never buy this pistol but I always considered that the higher the asking price the better the picture. It looks to me that he posted a picture of a picture of the gun. I have a very strong feeling this is not a real aution. I wonder if after you paid would you get to fully strip the gun down to verify all matching or would that void the return policy? Of course we know he is honest because he has a lawyer doing the middle work, so send your $50k and wait for a date to view your prize.

All it would take is for someone to buy it and all of our pistols will jump. Mine aren't for sale though.

Here is a fellow trying to sell a $ 12K weapon and all he can manage is to post up a photo of a gun magazine cover.

And he even admits it is stolen WWII booty. WOW !

Makes ya want to send in your cashier's check right now, doesn't it ???

Amazing, Pete! How do we know he has these "liberated" goods in his possession and has the authority to sell?
