Default Is this a legitimate Mauser issue?

I saw this Mauser Parabellum "SS Reich Comemorative" 9mm 6-inch listed on Gunbroker. Was this a legitimate Mauser issue or did somebody apply this Nazi regalia on the side plate and frame aftermarket?

Hmmm, any nazi related symbols or designations are ILLEGAL in Germany, so one would suppose that Mauser would never, in its right mind, offer something like this.

This is some demented secondary owner's idea of a tribute to the nazi regime.

Ruined an otherwise nice post war Mauser pistol

But if that is so, I'm sure Thor could remove those Nazi symbols...

Even if it were a period, original WWII Luger, not even the Nazis would gay one up that badly.

Cadet and SS Lugers have very understated markings for the most part.

And of course it had to be a 6" 9mm, one of the rarer variants. How I despise people who booger up fine firearms.

Not a chance in hell. This postwar Parabellum has been mistreated by some idiot in the US.

No way that Mauser would EVER release something like this. Over here in Europe luckily most people still see the SS for what they were, a bunch of anti-social idiotic criminals who were even disliked by the common troops.

Hmm, does look like a roman IV to me. Some sort of neonazi thing?

Undoubtedly, since reading it across it is stating "Fourth Reich"

Some presentation piece for an Illinois nazi?

Someone took a perfectly good 1970's era Mauser and made a joke out of it... and it isn't even funny.

On the other hand, a fresh side plate, some work on the side and a fresh dip of 'Brünofix' and you're good to go. You'd do the world (and good taste) a favor by removing these insults from the gun.

It's not "mine" nor will it be for what they are asking. Some jackass consigned it.
