Talking interarms mauser luger

I just received an Interarms Mauser Luger in 9MM.It is a real beauty. Two questions, how can I date this Luger and on disassembly I found surface rust in the magazine area and some small spots on the frame, how can I best remove the rust? The Luger has a 4 inch barrel and a grip safety. On close inspection this gun looks like it has never been fired.

Hello cfm,
if you look at the previous topics related to the Mauser Parabellum you can find good information concerning the history of this model. In any case Mauser produced this model starting from 1969 (the first model was the 29/70 similar to the 1929 model) up to 1986 (the last commemorative was the LP08).
Ciao
