Help with Luger dates
I have tried to figure out the date my two new (to me) Lugers were made using the DWM production chart. However, the chart goes from those made in 1916 to 1920 Luger carbines with no dates inbetween. My Luger serial numbers (SN) seems to fall within that range. But I am totally at a loss to state what date they were made. Please help.
I was lucky enough to stumble onto two alpha Lugers at the same time and did not leave them but bought both. One is a parts gun but in good shape SN 1947m. The other is all matching 5762n. Both are DWM 30 cal. Other than 1920's alpha Luger, I cannot find out when they were made. So I know to ask the question on this forum as the people here will know. Can someone give me the date for these pistols please?

Do both pistols have stock lugs? Do both have matching serial numbered barrels? How long are the barrels? Are they marked "GERMANY"? Are they marked "GESICHERT" under the safety lever?

Thank you for the fast reply. Yes, both have stock lugs with matching SN's on barrel. Additionally both are marked Germany and Gesichert on the safety.

Thank you for the reply. 1923 and 1924 dates. This is a lot more than I knew before.
