If it's not too much trouble, could you get a shot of the other side of the sign??? I'm curious if it says "You are entering Iraq", or "You are leaving Iran", or "Have a good day", or whatever...

Ummm...Looks like it's 'whatever'...

Lol. I would have put up a larger sign just about a few feet before it

Probably with a 'Entering different time zone: please put your watch back 1500 years' message.

RIAC will publish realized prices in a week or so. Proxibid apparently takes care of that a bit faster, though not entirely sure of accuracy of that info. https://www.proxibid.com/asp/Catalog.asp?#3488

Hello Postino, the gavel struck at $4,750 or $5,463 with buyer's premium. That in my opinion is at the limit of its value today. I have only seen one other (Mauser Persian LP-08) that was in better condition, and several others (in person and internet pictured) that were not nearly as clean as this one that sold yesterday. This was a fair price for a specific Luger that the buyer should hold onto for awhile, as the piece will certainly not lose value with new ownership costs and future resale recovery over time. I look forward to the release of other better to outstanding pieces in the future (80% to 90%+ percentile quality Lugers).
