Cool G.T. Specialties Magazine Springs...

I received G.T. Specialties replacement magazine springs in the mail today. Decided to replace the spring in a Mec-Gar magazine which seemed to work OK, with the exception of not activating the hold open device after the last shot. It would work, while operating the action manually. Thought some of you would like to see the differences in the two springs. If you are wondering no, I havn't got it back in to test as the plastic base is broken, on both sides of the back pin. Apparently broken all along. I did run a simple test. Using the punch to hold the bottom in place with the new spring, I quickly discovered that the new spring is indeed much stronger! OUCH, is hard to pull down the button without a loading tool!!!

G.T. Specialties spring is the upper of the two. Just squeezing it down a little with my fingers, there is a noticeable difference in force!!!

Notice there is only one loop difference, in the number of spirals...
