Default byf 41 Luger Questions

I dissasymbled my "new" 41 byf looking for matching numbers and found that all match except the fxo mag. My question is should the black plastic grips be numbered? How do I tell if the grips are correct?

The cams look like the gun was fired very little (the blue is selectivly scraped off of the contact surface). The gun still has packing grease inside. There are no import marks but it could have been imported before they were required. Supposedly the gun was a vet bring back.

Default Your Luger sounds like a great find.

Mike,

The grips are also very likely original. You can compare your grips to the photos of several byf 41's in the owner's corner (to your left) including my own, and also do a search on BYF here on the forum and check out some of the photos that have been posted by myself and others regarding reproduction grips...

Clean it! Lube it! Enjoy it! Shoot it!

regards,

John
