Default I think GT needs to change his name to superman

Well where do i begin with this journey i stumbled into a gun store by me and found my holy grail gun a german luger chambered in 9mm. Now i have been wanting one of these guns since i was a teenager. I would go to gun shows and see them in the case’s and just be amazed by them but then my excitement would turn to sadness when i would see the price tags. I would get discouraged and figured i would never be able to own one well fast forward to February of this year and i find a double date luger in very good shoot able condition the asking price was $1,400 and i ended up getting for $1,100 dollars well i did my research as i paid off my layway and learned everything i could about these amazing pistols. Well i get it paid off and take it home excited with anticipation to take it apart give it a good cleaning and be off to the range to shoot it well as im taking the toggle train out of the slide my heart hits the floor as i see a piece of the center toggle link broken off and fall onto my work bench. To say i was devastated would be an understatement all the years of looking and saving and to finally get one only to have it be broken before i got a chance to shoot it. Well now i decided i need to take to the internet to see if i can find answers to fix my problems and thats when i stumbled upon this forum and a man that goes by G.T. I heard lots from other users about the miracle work G.T is capable of performing so after reaching out to him and I explained my situation he reassured me that it would be possible to get my grail gun repaired and sent to me in a very short amount of time and also for a very respectable amount of money. So i send my luger in pieces off to G.T and in less then a week he returns to me my dream gun assembled and ready to be shot i was beyond happy. I immediately took to the range and ran 50 rounds of WWB 115gr 9mm through it and it didnt miss a beat. Now two things about G.T stand out to me the most the first is how he communicates with his customers every single email i sent to him was replied to in a very concise and orderly fashion he took the time to read the email and correspond accordingly your are not treated like just a customer sending him money. Now the other part of my topic that sticks out with G.T is what he charges for his services i sent this man a luger in pieces to him in ziplock bags and he returned an amazing gun for a very good and very reasonable prices what i was charged is what i would feel a inexperienced gunsmith would charge me to just look at it. I think its safe to say G.T does this for the love of the luger community and to not become a millionaire. To wrap this all up i am beyond grateful to G.T and this forum for existing and finding a group of people that are so helpful with new luger collectors i am starting my luger collection and what can be considered a young age i am only 27 years old and im excited to add 100 more to my collection i am amazed with how these pistols work and the history about them. I cant wait to see where this luger journey takes me and i hope to do many more years of business with G.T you are a wonderful person and a treasure to this community and as always may god bless him and his family.
