Thumbs up SOS/NGD Louisville, KY 2008 Photos and Review

Howdy Forum Members, Users, etc. !

Another SOS/NGD has passed and some of us are left with empty pockets This was my fourth trip down to KY for the shows and possibly my best one. Ran into some familiar faces such as Ron Wood, George Anderson, and Heinz Ahlers. I bought a nice arty holster from George. I took some pictures so I thought I'd share. I invite anyone who took pictures while at the show to share too.

For those of you who haven't made the trip, my advice is go! If you are serious about your collecting, you need to attend the SOS and NGD. You will see items you will not see anywhere else!

I also made a side trip to Fort Knox to see the Patton Museum with my friends, Leo Lavallee and Derek Seltzer. What an incredible museum!

Great pics ,I was there also and agree its worth the trip. I had a table at the NGD show and sold almost everything I brought with me,but I brought plenty of stuff to make up for it. I felt the luger prices were a bit inflated and still feel this forum is the best place to get a deal. clint

Hope to see you all at the next Chantilly VA show at the Dulles Expo Center... (No I don't know when it will be yet!)

Hi Guys,

For those that did not get a chance to attend our gathering in Louisville, you missed a chance to honor a great man.

Orv Reichert was presented a lifetime achievement award for everything he does for the P.38 forum, and the P.38 collecting community. Orv has now received this award by mail, and I just wanted to say congratulations! It was well deserved!

Here is a picture that Leon took from Louisville, showing Mark Castel presenting the award. Also thanks to Bruce Wilder for having this idea for the award, and for having it made for Orv.

THANKS ORV! YOU ARE THE BEST!

Regards,
Ron

Very nice, nice seeing Orv get the award.

Nice to see faces of folks I've met at Chattanooga and several who I've been to their houses
