Default Toggle Axis pin problem

Hello,

This is my first message here and therefore, I would like to salute all the community. I would like also to congratulate for this very interesting forum, full of precious informations.

On the luger I just brought, I have remarked the following small problem:

The Breechlock group main axis is holded into position by a so called "Toggle Axis pin" (see No 17. of the disassembly description).

On my Luger, probably because this little pin was removed and reinstalled a great number of times, it didn't thight anymore well into the hole. I mean, it can be pushed easily from the inside and when it can be catched with the fingers from the outside, it can be removed with great ease.

Of course, in these circumstances, my fear is to loose, on day, this very small piece, when shooting or simply manipulating the luger.

What would you recommend to do in this case ?

Many thanks in forward for any help.

Alain

Alain, this is why they have oversized pins that the unit armorer would place a slightly larger pin into the hole and make it tight again.

If you can't find round steel stock, try and give me the size you need, I will send you a small piece from my shop, I am only here for a day or so then gone for a week, so let me know...or try Tom Heller on the left side of screen under "links and resources" as he has all the Luger parts.....good luck. Welcome here...........

I see.

My problem is now to found my "unit armorer" LOL !!!

More seriously, they are some Luger specialists here in Switzerland. Hopefully I will found the appropriate oversized pin.
