Default Help with Unit Marks

Greetings,
I just purchased a 1917 DWM Luger on an online auction. It is a little weak on finish, but I think it may have an interesting past. First there is a 1920 property mark on top of the 1917. (No sear or magazine safety). In addition, it is unit marked. I would be most appreciative if someone could shed some light on the unit marks.

It is a municipal police (S) Luger to the District of Munster (M), during the Weimar period (1920).

Inventory number after the letters. Formally an Imperial Army issue (1917).

Sometimes these Luger were reissued without the safeties being added.

Have a similar police unit marking on a 1914 Mauser 7.65
