Nice looking gun but the rear sight looks too high to me to be functionally correct?

No doubt the rounds would hit far above the line of sight.

The barrel appears to be a standard taper Luger barrel that has had a look-a-like Luger Carbine rear sight attached forward of the receiver.

This gun will be sold at auction in Germany... Any forum member (in the USA) who would bid on this gun must be warned that they would have to go through a licensed importer to obtain it in the USA, and the fact that it is a former military surplus gun, may complicate the importation and make it prohibitively expensive.

Also, because it is not a genuine original Luger Carbine, it would be subject to the National Firearms Act of 1934 and would require that the federal tax of $200 for a Short Barreled Rifle be paid PRIOR to taking possession.

All In ALL... a pretty photo, but not a worthwhile investment IMHO.
