Default Magazine Repair

I have an original wood bottom mag with both sides broken off. One side broke off in handling as the mag was placed in the gun during shipping & snapped off in transit. I have that broken piece. Fortunately for me the original serial number is pretty intact on the mag. The last digit "5" is a tiny bit "shaved off" on the right side but not much. For the most part the 4 digit sn is intact minus just a hair of it on the last digit. Since it matches my Luger I want to save this mag if possible by repairing it and then putting the mag away. Obviously, I would never use this mag post repair. Can someone smooth those edges & glue 2 new pieces of wood to repair the mag? I realize the grain on the new wood would probably not match the old wood exactly but if it's close I would be more then happy with that.

I agree. G.T. repaired an imperial magazine wood bottom for me that was split in two pieces. His work was beautiful and I was totally satisfied.
