Default What'sit?

Refinished, of course, although nobody went nuts with buffing. No proof marks, but import marked. Side plate serialized on its face, takedown lever marked in Commercial style, 5-digit serial number in old Commercial format...

What explains the departure from markings that usually appear? Chalk it up to Wiemar anomalies?

Sideplate has been numbered to match. the "4"s font don't match the rest of the gun. The rest isn't actually terrible. An old reblue, but not bad as they go.

I used to wonder why people put incorrect terms (like "P08") in the title, but then I figured that was for other folks to find if they were searching. I've seen this on GunBoards a lot, where they will includes words like "Navy" when it's clearly not a Navy Luger.

This one is clearly described as a 1906 and it has a long frame.

Nowhere do they mention it's a Commercial pistol or a 7.65mm, either.

Sorry I missed this auction ... liked the 1914 Erfurt LP 08.
https://www.proxibid.com/ERFURT-LUGE...ation/67338451

This one looks like its been in a war (pun intended) whereas mine is mint and made earlier ... 6051 as opposed to this one 6073 ... wonder what the reserve was ?? or did no one bid at all ??
