Default a Swis cometh.....

I just bought our 3rd Luger, a Swiss, from Legacy Collectibles - guessing it'll be here in about a week. Legacy adverted it as "Beautiful Swiss Bern 1906/24 Luger Rig". I checked it's S/N and see that it's one of the 1929 builds

they say "all matching" but didn't say "including magazine and grip panels" so I'll have to wait and see. they posted that the blueing is 99% with minor wear on high points - that the grip panels and bore are "minty" leather shoulder holster and shoulder strap (?)

the pictures in the advert look great but the ad has been taken down so I can't download them and my "good" computer is with the Geek Squad having malware removed otherwise I could post some not so good pics

this was 1 of my last 2 Luger "wants" - the other would be a pristine Navy Luger but prices for them are outta sight for me right now

my 1st Luger was a DWM P06 in 7.65 - I think I posted pics of it "somewhere" on the forum- it's beautiful ! My 2nd was a 1938 Mauser (my birth year) Mauser P08 which is in excellent condition all matching but I shoot it on occasion

yes, I'm trying to contact Legacy to see if I can get their original pictures (which are of excellent quality)

otherwise I will use my not so good protography "skills" and take pics to post

I paid what I thought was a very fair price for the Luger (else wouldn't have bought it)

Legacy took down their advert when I purchased the pistol, so no, I can't download their pictures (which are excellent, by the way)

I'll email them and or call to see if they can re-post them as "sold", as they do with some of their sales

Always save photos and even the sales text before you buy anything on-line, etc.

In case you need to return it, you have some back up,

hind sight is the best sight - I had printed a few pictures off the Legacy advert and then decided to make a short video - showing the pics that I had printed and the link is below

the pistol is enroute to my FFL and 'sposed to be delivered this coming Monday - of course the FFL's shop is closed Sun and Mon, so it looks like I should get it, in my hands, Tuesday or Wednesday next week (color me "anxious)

meantime perhaps the video pics are good enough that someone can weigh-in and tell me "what it is that I'm getting". I believe that it's from the batch that was build in 1929 (?) - made for the Military and then was later "privatized" (as there's a "P" standing alone "somewhere" on the pistol (I saw it on one of the pictures that I "didn't" print.....hopefully what's shown in the video will offer enough info for the experts here to render my request for information.....else, after the pistol arrives, I send pics of whatever is needed to help you folks

thank you (oh and in the video I mis-spoke - shen showing the pistol's right side pic I "said" that it was the left side - me faux pas)
