good article. It has always bothered me that if I bought a gun and later returned it, I should pay the sellers shipping costs. I have never been hit on restocking charges but the same would apply. Percent of bluing is subjective plus the seller might be over enthusiastic in his description. You often don't know what the article really looks like until you get it in your hands. So why should the buyer pay shipping costs both ways?

But the article may be too general and may not go far enough. I have always been a strong advocate of getting someone else to look at a gun while at a gun show. I believe that this helps to remove some emotion in the purchase. Emotion often plays a role in over looking faults in a purchase. When nobody is available, I try to return many times to the table to take second and third looks before putting my money on the table. But it is tough to walk away once emotion has dictated your purchase.
